Schrager Hampson Aviation Insurance Agency, LLC has just announced the launch of a new “Loss of training expenses insurance program” for the US flight training industry in cooperation with Hiscox Global Flying and the Flight School Association of North America.
This new product provides for 100% reimbursement of training expenses if a student pilot is unable to complete their training program due to bodily injury or illness and 25% reimbursement for mental or behavorial disorders. Coverage is offered as a group policy to flight training providers, who can offer their students the opportunity to obtain the coverage on a guaranteed issue basis through a simple enrollment process. Flight training providers must be a member of the Flight School Association of North America to be eligible for coverage.
